In the Solid tab, select Boolean Difference.
Select the shank, press Enter, then select the offset solid, and press Enter again.
Use Hide to conceal the gem and examine the seat created in the shank.
Use Show to bring the cabochon back.
In this lesson, we’ll use Boolean Difference to carve out the area for the cabochon to sit in, making sure it has a precise fit within the shank.
