Using this command, you can create signet rings, a great style for the foundation of family crests, seals, university, and other types of elegant bold rings.
When you run this command, its parameters will appear in the Commands toolbar. Your first step is to decide whether you want to start with a pre-designed style provided by RhinoArtisan or create a new one by editing the style currently displayed in the viewport.
On its parameters, you can find the ring size, measurements, the asset that will shape the signet area, and options to make a recess on the ring.
Allows users to select different finger sizes to adjust the ring accordingly.
Mode: Select the shape of the prongs. You can choose between a circular section or a custom shape defined by curves in your assets, which can be edited to fit your design needs.
Width and Height: Set the width and height of the face to match the dimensions required for your design.
Height Position: Adjust the position of the face in relation to its height above the band.
Rotation: Adjust the rotation of the face in the Z axis.
Width/Height Bottom Profile: Set the width and height of the bottom profile of the band.
Width/Height Middle Profile: Set the width and height of the middle profile of the band.
Recess: Allows you to enable or disable the recess option. If enabled, it is possible to modify two parameters.
Thickness: Determines the thickness of the edge.
Inner Height: Determines the inner height of the face.
The Signet Ring will be listed on the Outliner toolbar when you confirm your changes.
Goldsmith Tip : This tool is versatile beyond creating classic signet rings, offering jewelers numerous possibilities. For example, you can use the Round Cap command to create a dome surface for a pavé design that seamlessly fits the signet shape. Or, craft a signet with a recessed area to add custom initials. With the Creator command, you can design a custom stone, then use the same curve with an offset and recess to quickly create a ring tailored to that gemstone. By combining different RhinoArtisan commands, you can significantly enhance your design workflow.
