The Cabochon command is a versatile tool for placing and customizing cabochon stones in your designs. It offers two main panels: the Selection panel, where you choose the placement method, and the Parameters panel, where you define the cabochon’s shape and detailed measurements.
In the Selection panel, you decide how and where to place your cabochon once all the parameters are set:

Along a Curve: Places the cabochon on a point along a selected curve.
On an Object: Place the cabochon directly on the surface of an object.
In the Parameters panel, you define the characteristics of your cabochon:

Round
Oval
Rectangular
Heart
Pear
Marquise
Diamond
Cabochon Style: Select the style of the cabochon’s top surface:

Measurements:
Main Dimensions: Specify the key dimensions of the cabochon, such as width, height, and length.
Girdle Angle: Adjust the angle of the girdle to control how the cabochon sits in the setting.
Girdle Height: Set the height of the girdle, which impacts the stone’s profile and how much it rises above the setting.
Flexible Placement: Whether you need to place a single cabochon or distribute several along a curve, this command provides the flexibility to achieve your design vision.
Customization: With multiple shapes, styles, and adjustable measurements, you can tailor each cabochon to fit perfectly within your design.
Precision: The ability to control the girdle angle and height ensures that each cabochon is set with the specifications required for a flawless fit.
Once you confirm your changes, the cabochon you have created will be listed on the Outliner toolbar.
