# Shank

In this lesson, we will focus on designing the shank, the foundational band of your ring.

### **Step 1: Shank Commnad**

Go to the "Shanks" tab (1) and select the "Classic" command (2).

### **Step 2: Classic Library**

From the RhinoArtisan library, choose the model "CL001" **(1)**, then click on Edit **(2)**.

TIP: Use the shaded mode for better visualization of the model. Change it in the right corner of each viewport. **(1)Wireframe - (2) Shaded**

### **Step 3: Shank Parameters**

Adjust the parameters of the model by changing the **Height** to 1.5 millimeters.

**Step 4:** Click "Accept" to finalize the shank design.
