Co-designer Panel Overview

Before exploring all the possibilities of Co-designer, this section will guide you through your first interaction with the AI. You will learn how to bring a model from Boutique, send your first messages, make design changes, request information, and generate reports and production data. These steps will help you understand how natural and intuitive it is to work with the Co-designer AI inside RhinoArtisan.

1. Verify that you are connected to Connect

In the upper-right corner of the RhinoArtisan interface, you should see your profile picture. This indicates that you are successfully connected to RhinoArtisan Connect from within RhinoArtisan. If the profile icon does not appear, we recommend revisiting the “Setting Up Your Environment” section.

2. Open the Co-designer panel

To open Co-designer, simply click File tab > Co-designer icon. A panel will appear on the right side of RhinoArtisan. You can dock or anchor this panel anywhere you prefer. We recommend placing it as shown below, so you always have the AI and the design tools visible while working.

3. Say: “Hi, how are you today?”

This step is optional, but it’s a great way to confirm that the AI is connected and responding correctly.

In the Co-designer panel, type: “Hi, how are you today?” and click the Send button.

Co-designer will reply naturally, confirming that communication with the AI is active and working.

A quick note about the Co-designer panel

At this point, you are already interacting with the Co-designer panel. This interface includes the message history, input box, action buttons, and several tools you will use throughout your design workflow.

Message Box

At the bottom of the panel, you’ll find the Message Box, where you type your instructions. You can write:

  • Design modifications

  • Questions about the model

  • Requests for information (weights, stones, pricing…)

  • Commands for production, reporting, or rendering

Co-designer understands natural language, so type your messages just as you would say them aloud.

Dictate Button

Next to the Message Box, you’ll find the Dictate button. This allows you to speak your instructions instead of typing them.

When you click it:

  • Your microphone activates

  • Co-designer listens to your voice

  • Your spoken words are converted into text

  • The message is automatically sent to the AI

This is especially useful during in-store presentations or when you want to work hands-free while adjusting the model.

Voice On/Off Button

The Voice On/Off button enables or disables spoken responses from Co-designer.

When activated, the AI will read its answers aloud, allowing you to interact hands-free or present the design experience to a customer more naturally.

You can use this feature to:

  • Enhance in-store demonstrations

  • Make the experience more dynamic and engaging

  • Assist users who prefer auditory feedback

  • Maintain attention on the model while the AI speaks

Click the button again to disable voice mode at any time.

Clear History Button

The Clear History button removes the entire conversation displayed in the Message History panel.

This clears all previous instructions, AI responses, and system messages, giving you a clean workspace to start fresh.

Using Clear History does not reset your model or undo design changes — it only clears the chat log. This is helpful when:

  • You want to begin a new conversation with the AI

  • You are demonstrating Co-designer to a customer

  • The message list has grown too long and you prefer a clean view

You can clear the history at any time without affecting the current design.

My Prompts

The My Prompts section allows you to save and reuse your favorite Co-designer instructions.

Instead of typing the same messages repeatedly, you can store them as personal shortcuts and trigger them with a single click.

You can save prompts for anything you use frequently, such as:

  • Specific design changes

  • Technical commands

  • Production instructions

  • Common questions you ask the AI

  • Repeated workflow steps

Saving a prompt makes it instantly accessible during any design session. This is especially useful in stores, where teams often repeat the same actions for different customers, or for designers who follow standard workflows.

You can create, rename, and delete prompts at any time—your list adapts to the way you work.

Send Button

The Send button submits your message from the Message Box to the Co-designer AI. After typing (or dictating) your instruction, click Send to process the request.

The button is always available, and it becomes highlighted when the system is ready to receive a new instruction.

Use the Send button to:

  • Apply design changes

  • Ask questions about the model

  • Request pricing, weights, and measurements

  • Trigger production workflows

  • Navigate through creative alternatives

Pressing Enter on your keyboard has the same effect, but the Send button is helpful during presentations or when working with touch screens.

Feedback Button

The Feedback button allows you to quickly tell us whether you are satisfied with Co-designer’s response.

This feature is extremely valuable, because it helps us understand how the AI behaves in real situations and what users expect from it.

When you click the Feedback button, you can indicate:

  • If the result was helpful

  • If the change matched what you asked for

  • If something felt unclear or incorrect

Your feedback is sent directly to our team and is used to improve the AI continuously, every single day. We truly appreciate any input you share—it helps us refine Co-designer, fix misunderstandings, improve workflows, and create a better experience for everyone.

If you ever feel something could be better, this button is the quickest way to let us know.
